Raytheon, Tucson, Ariz., has received a pair of Air Force contracts for its Miniature Air-Launched Decoy (MALD) system.
The U.S. Air Force awarded a $48.9 million contract to launch the engineering, manufacturing and design (EMD) phase for the MALD-J stand-in jammer variant.
The EMD work will include free-flight and captive-carry tests, with the aim of fielding the system in 2012.
