The U.S. Missile Defense Agency has awarded Raytheon Technologies, Woburn, Mass., a contract to sustain the radars for Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) missile defense systems in the service of the United Arab Emirates, reports the Dept. of Defense.
The US$215 million deal covers one prime power unit and five years of sustainment work on two AN/TPY-2 radars as part of the THAAD systems, said a Pentagon release on Sept. 25.
