Raytheon Gets Nod As Sole Bidder For Ground-Based Air Defense System Program

The Australian government has approved a project to develop a short-range ground-based air defense system to improve protection for deployed personnel, reports the Australian Dept. of Defense.

This is the first stage of the Australian army's contribution to the military's air and missile defense program that was unveiled in the 2016 defense white paper.
