Raytheon has announced the completion of the first radar antenna array for the Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS), which is being developed for the U.S. Army.
The milestone came 120 days after Raytheon was selected to build the radar, said a company release on Feb. 21. The company has received a $384 million contract to build six LTAMDS prototypes.
