Raytheon Canada To Provide Maritime Radars

Raytheon Canada in Waterloo, Ontario, has been awarded a contract by the Virginia-based BAV Division of the VSE Corp. to provide high-frequency surface wave radar (HFSWR) systems to Romania, reports Raytheon.
The US$16 million contract covers two radars that will enable Romania to protect its maritime borders in the Black Sea.
The HSFWR will detect and monitors vessel movements throughout Romania's 200-nm (370-km) exclusive economic zone.
