Raytheon Beats Alliant Techsystems For Excalibur Job

Raytheon has won the Army's competition over ATK for the next generation of Excalibur GPS-guided artillery rounds, Defense News reports.

The $22 million cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for Excalibur 155-mm Increment 1B artillery rounds was awarded after a 23-month competitive development and prototyping phase.

The competition included live firing this summer.
