For the first time, the governments of Afghanistan and Pakistan have agreed to send liaison officers to each other's military headquarters as a way to better coordinate security, reports the Voice of America News.
The Pakistani government is also awaiting a formal response from Kabul to a proposal for a wide-ranging bilateral dialogue, a Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesman said in Islamabad on Dec. 14.
