Ransom Demands Unmet, Abu Sayyaf Beheads Malaysian Hostage

Jihadists have beheaded a hostage in the southern Philippines.

The Malaysian hostage killed Tuesday was held by the Philippines-based Abu Sayyaf militant group, reports Bloomberg News.

Bernard Then, a 39-year-old engineer, was executed on the island of Jolo after ransom demands were not met, said military sources.
