RAF Head To Become Next Chief Of Defense Staff Within Months

The head of the British Royal Air Force is expected to become the next chief of the defense staff, reports the U.K. Ministry of Defense.
Queen Elizabeth has approved the appointment of Air Chief Marshal Sir Stuart Peach to succeed Gen. Sir Nicholas Houghton at the top military post in the summer, the MoD said on Friday.
Houghton is retiring after three years as defense chief.
