RAF Grounds Sentry AWACS Planes, Probe Underway

The British Royal Air Force says it has grounded all its E-3D Sentry airborne warning and control system (AWACS) aircraft after a technical fault was discovered on one of the planes during a routine inspection, reports London's Daily Telegraph.
The problem was found on an in-service aircraft at RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire, said a Defense Ministry spokeswoman. Routine operations have been suspended until an engineering inspection is completed.
