The Australian government is moving ahead with a new radar system to warn Australian troops of insurgent rocket attacks on their bases in Afghanistan, reports the Australian Associated Press.
The counter-rocket artillery and mortar (C-RAM) system will be fielded at Australian facilities in Tarin Kowt, the capital of the southern Uruzgan province, said Defense Minister John Faulkner.
