The Australian government has announced that it will spend Aus$1.1 billion (US$725.9 million) to upgrade and expand RAAF Base Tindal in the Northern Territory, reports the Australian Broadcasting Corp.
On Friday, Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced the project during a visit to nearby Katherine.
