Python Slides Off Into Sunset, Retiring From Air Force After 25 Years

Squadron Leader Eric Aldrovandi, a Burmese python and the longtime mascot for 14 Squadron, has retired after 25 years with the British Royal Air Force, reports the U.K. Ministry of Defense.

A Tornado GR 4 unit, 14 Squadron was recently disbanded after serving at RAF Bruggen in Germany and RAF Lossiemouth in Scotland.

Aldrovandi is scheduled to move to Amazonia in Glasgow, Scotland, this week.
