North Korea seems uneasy as Kim Jong-Un prepares to succeed his father Kim Jong-Il, reports the Chosun Ilbo (South Korea).
A special riot police force has been formed to quell public demonstrations, said a North Korean source.
Troops armed with pistols and batons have been training for crowd control at train stations, town plazas, schools and parks.
Officials deemed an obstacle to Kim Jong-Un's succession are also reportedly being purged.
