North Korea fired a ballistic missile over Japan's northern island of Hokkaido on Friday.
The intermediate-range ballistic missile flew over Japanese airspace and crashed into the Pacific Ocean, said officials from U.S. and South Korean militaries, as reported by NBC News.
The "unidentified" missile was fired from Sunan district in Pyongyang on Friday, flew around 2,300 miles over Japan and landed in the north Pacific Ocean, said South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff.
