North Korea says it is operating "thousands of centrifuges" to enrich uranium at a plant revealed this month, RTT News reports.
The uranium will be used at a light-water reactor currently under construction, according to the official state KCNA news agency.
The reactor is reportedly being built at the Yongbyon nuclear complex near the capital of Pyongyang.
