Troops from Somalia's Puntland semi-autonomous region stormed a hijacked Panama-flagged cargo vessel on Wednesday and freed the ship, reports Xinhua, China's state news agency.
Pirates killed the captain of the MV QSM Dubai during the resulting firefight, a maritime official said.
