The Singapore military has decided to hire civilian fitness experts to provide physical training to the armed forces, reports the Straits Times.
Current military fitness specialists are expected to be replaced by civilians by the end of 2011 and re-assigned to combat posts.
Since mid-2009, civilian trainers have taken over gym training, aerobics, endurance runs and the annual individual physical proficiency test (IPPT).
