The Australian government has agreed that its military will take over the leadership of Combined Team-Uruzgan (CT-U) in southern Afghanistan later this year, reports the Australian Dept. of Defense.
The team was created in August 2010 under U.S. command after the Dutch withdrew their forces, and relinquished command of International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) operations in the region.
