The French army is testing a prototype of the fire-support variant of the Tiger attack helicopter, reports defense-aerospace.com.
After eight weeks of operational trials, the HAD (helicopter appui-destruction), will begin service, according to a French Defense Ministry release.
The French army previously received 37 Tiger helicopters in the support and escort variant and plans to operate a fleet of 80 aircraft equally divided between the two configurations.
