The prototype of China's first stealth fighter may be almost ready for a first flight, according to a Canadian military editor cited by the New York Times.
Photographs of the J-20 on the tarmac at an airfield near Chengdu have been appearing online since mid-December.
The aircraft staged a runway test on Wednesday and could make its first flight this week, according to Andrei Chang, the editor of Kanwa Defense Weekly in Hong Kong.
