Protesters, Police Clash In Athens

Stone-throwing demonstrators have clashed with about 1,500 police in Athens, Reuters reports.
Also Wednesday, tens of thousands of protesters marched on Parliament to oppose plans for what are seen as new austerity measures.
Thousands of activists converged on the central Syntagma square to try to stop lawmakers from entering.
Unions representing half of the 5-million-strong workforce also launched a nationwide strike, shutting ports, schools and other basic services. ...
