Protesters Angered Over Makeup Of New Government

Police in Tunis clashed with protesters on Tuesday demonstrating against a new coalition government in Tunisia, Reuters reports.

Tear gas was needed to disperse the demonstrators in central Tunis, said the police.

Prime Minister Mohamed Ghannouchi brought opposition leaders into a unity government on Monday after President Zine bin Abidine Ben Ali fled the country. Many of the president's former allies remain in positions of power.
