India is considering spending $2.34 billion on upgrades for its fleet of Su-30MKI Flanker-H fighters with the cooperation of Russian firms, RIA Novosti reports.
The proposed upgrade program would consist of several stages beginning in 2012, the Indian Defense Ministry said.
If approved, the Super 30 modernization project will reportedly involve the installation of new radars, onboard computers, avionics and BrahMos supersonic missiles on 40 aircraft.
