A final proposal on changes to El Salvador’s constitution has been delivered to President Nayib Bukele, reports Reuters.
The changes delivered by Vice President Felix Ulloa on Thursday include 216 reforms that would modify fundamental rights and El Salvador’s political and economic system.
Ulloa has been leading a team of lawyers to draft the changes.
The reforms include an extension of presidential terms from five to six years beginning in 2029, a new national electoral institute...
