The Italian air force has received the first of four Boeing KC-767A tanker aircraft that was originally expected in 2005, Defense News reports.
The aircraft was flown from Boeing's Wichita, Kan., facility to the Italian air force's Pratica di Mare base south of Rome, air force officials said on Thursday.
Delivery is said to have slipped due to problems with a wing pylon and the hose and drogue system.
