A U.S. legislative commission warns that numerous reconstruction projects in Afghanistan and Iraq could fall into disrepair due to lack of funding, reports the Washington Post.
A report issued Friday by the Commission on Wartime Contracting in Iraq and Afghanistan "sees no indication" that the Pentagon, State Dept. and U.S. Agency for International Development are "effectively taking sustainability risks into account when devising new projects or programs."
