Project Begins To Protect Schools Near Gaza Border

The Israeli government has begun the fortification of all schools within 9 miles (15 km) of the Gaza Strip, reports Arutz Sheva (Israel).
Home Front Defense Minister Matan Vilnai formally launched the project on Wednesday.
All educational institutions within Israeli communities are expected to be protected under the US$23 million program.
The program seeks to strengthen buildings against rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip, said officials.
