Problematic Missile Defense Kill Vehicle Program Cancelled

The Pentagon has officially cancelled the Redesigned Kill Vehicle (RKV) being developed for the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) system, reports Breaking Defense. The cancellation of the program for “technical design problems” on Tuesday comes after the DoD announced that it was taking a “strategic pause” on the program.
