Prime Minister Distances Himself From BAE Prosecution

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has indicated that he won't interfere in the prosecution of defense firm BAE Systems over allegations of bribery, reports the Times of London.

Former Prime Minister Tony Blair helped halt a previous investigation into BAE three years ago.

The Serious Fraud Office (SFO) said last week it will pursue claims that BAE paid millions of dollars for lucrative defense contracts in the Czech Republic, Romania, South Africa and Tanzania.
