Pressure To Be Kept On Taliban During Winter

In contrast to previous years, NATO officials say that they will not relax in the fight against the Taliban during the winter months, Reuters reports.

The militants typically hide out in Afghanistan or retreat into Pakistan this time of year to "hibernate," said military officials.

This year, U.S. airborne forces, working with Pakistanis, plan to deny the insurgents any refuge in Pakistan, they said.
