Iraqi authorities say Islamic State fighters have used chemical weapons against government forces in the battle for Mosul in northern Iraq, reports Agence France-Presse.
Government forces have been fighting door-to-door in western Mosul's Old City, said a military spokesman on Monday, as reported by Reuters.
