Presidential Power Would Be Curtailed Under Draft Constitution

Kyrgyzstan's interim government has released a draft constitution that would cut the powers of the president, RIA Novosti (Russia) reports.
The draft calls for a parliamentary system to be adopted, with 105 or 120 seats up for election every five years.
The document also proposes a presidential term of five years, and would not allow a president to serve more than two consecutive terms.
