Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir has vowed to teach South Sudan a "final lesson by force" and says he will never give up a disputed oil-rich region, reports CNN.
Clashes have escalated in the past week between the two nations in the border region, with South Sudan seizing the oil town of Heglig in South Kordofan state.
During Thursday's speech on state media, the Sudanese leader said that "Heglig is in Kordofan" and said he would never surrender it.
