President Promulgates New Defensive Military Doctrine

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow has endorsed a decree covering a new military doctrine, reports Interfax-AVN (Russia).
The new doctrine will enhance Turkmenistan's defensive capabilities and strengthen global peace, the president said on Monday.
He said that the document also lays out the principles, aims and tasks for military, political and economic elements to ensure the military security and integrity of the nation's borders.
