President Offers Armenian Site For CSTO Peacekeeping Training

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has proposed setting a peacekeeping training unit for the Russian-led Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in his country, reports Interfax-AVN (Russia).

Armenia now holds the new rotating presidency of the CSTO, noted Russia's Tass news agency.

The CSTO needs a new core organization for training peacekeepers, Sargsyan said on Tuesday during a CSTO summit in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan.
