India's President Pratibha Patil has announced the names for three Indian frigates under construction at Russia's Yantar shipyard on the Baltic Sea, reports RIA Novosti.
The Improved Talwar-class warships have been named Teg (saber), Tarkash (quiver) and Trikand (bow), according to a shipyard spokesman.
The first of these guided-missile frigates is scheduled to be launched later this month, with the other two ships to be handed over in 2011 and 2012, the spokesman said. ...
