Peruvian lawmakers are pushing forward with another effort to impeach President Pedro Castillo amid a judicial investigation into potential corruption, reports Bloomberg News.
Edward Malaga, a centrist congressman, told the news service on Thursday that the impeachment motion against Castillo had 80 of the 87 votes required to pass.
This is the third time lawmakers have sought to impeach Castillo, who has been in office for about a year.
