A major Muslim separatist group in the Philippines has started decommissioning its weapons, reports the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
The Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) turned in a total of 75 weapons on Tuesday in Maguindanao on Mindanao island, including 50 high-powered firearms and 25 crew-served weapons.
The weapons will be deactivated by an independent body as a symbolic gesture of the MILF's commitment to peace, reported the BBC.
