President Approves Additional Funding For Defense

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed legislation amending this year's budget with more defense and security funding, reports Interfax-AVN (Russia).

The amendment adds about US$100 million, most of which will go toward the construction of a modern ammunition plant.

The Ukrainian military needs a modern plant to secure its various ammunition supplies, said Poroshenko on Tuesday.
