U.S. and Czech officials say plans to build an early-warning center in the Czech Republic as part of European missile shield plans have been abandoned, reports RIA Novosti.
"The Czech Republic will look for other options to participate in the project," Defense Minister Alexandr Vondra said Wednesday.
Vondra met with U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense William Lynn shortly before the announcement.
