The Czech government has selected Bell Helicopter to provide new attack and utility helicopters for the army, reports Radio Prague.
Under the anticipated US$622 million deal, Prague will acquire eight UH-1Y Venom utility and four AH-1Z Viper attack helicopters, Defense Minister Lubomir Metnar said on Thursday.
A contract is expected to be finalized before the end of the year, with deliveries scheduled for 2023.
The Venom and Viper were chosen over Sikorsky's UH-60M Black Hawk....
