Officials from the Iranian, Iraqi and Turkish governments say they are working on a three-way alliance, reports Asharq Al-Awsat, an Arabic paper published in London.
The project was proposed during a recent trip to Ankara by Gen. Muhammad Hussein Baqeri, the chief of staff of the Iranian armed forces, according to Iran's semi-official Fars news agency.
