Potential Deal Made For Gear Upgrades For AWACS Aircraft

The Japanese government is seeking to acquire new mission equipment from the United States for its airborne warning and control system (AWACS) aircraft, reports the U.S. Defense Security and Cooperation Agency.
The potential deal, worth US$119 million, covers the installation and checkout of four previously acquired radar system improvement program (RSIP) Group A and B kits for E-767 AWACS aircraft.
