Populist Five Star Movement To Abstain From Key Vote

Giuseppe Conte, the head of Italy’s populist Five Star Movement (M5S) party, says the party will boycott a Thursday vote on a cost of living bill in a move that could bring down the government of Prime Minister Mario Draghi, reports the Local (Italy).
The 26 billion euro (US$26.1 billion) bill is intended to help Italians deal with rising energy costs and inflation but includes a measure to construct a garbage incinerator in Rome, which the M5S has long opposed.
