Polish F-16s Take Over NATO Air-Policing Mission

The Polish air force has assumed command of NATO’s air-policing mission in Lithuania, reports the alliance.

On Jan. 3, commander of the outgoing Belgian air force detachment, Maj. Samuel Vanophem, formally handed over the key to Baltic airspace to Polish commander Lt. Col. Adam Kalinowski during a ceremony at Siauliai air base in central Lithuania.
