A roadside bomb hit a police patrol in northern Iraq's Diyala province on Wednesday night, United Press International reports.
The incident took place in the city of Muqdadiya, about 62 miles north of Baghdad, reported police.
Four officers were killed and five other people were wounded, said the Interior Ministry. A police colonel was reported to be among the dead.
