The suspected military chief of the Basque separatist group ETA was arrested Thursday by French and Spanish police in the French town of Bayonne, Deutsche Presse-Agentur reports.
Mikel Kabikoitz Carrera Sarobe, also known as Ata, was detained with a man and a woman in an apartment near the border with Spain, said police.
