A senior Iraqi federal police officer escaped injury in a bomb attack in central Baghdad on Monday, reports Xinhua, China's state news agency.
Maj. Gen. Ahmed Sabri's convoy was traveling through the Karrada neighborhood when a roadside bomb went off, said a police source.
The blast damaged one of the convoy's vehicles and several nearby buildings, said security officials.
