Malaysian police have arrested seven people suspected of links with the inactive Sri Lankan militant group Liberation Tigers Of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), reports the Star (Kuala Lumpur).
On Thursday, counterterror police arrested the group in a series of raids in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Melaka, Perak and Kedah, on suspicion of "supporting, promoting, recruiting, fundraising for and possessing items linked to LTTE militants," said police officials.
